Question 1

Does aluminum framing lose heat compared with vinyl or timber?

Accepted Answer

Every Boutique frame uses a polyamide thermal break that separates interior and exterior extrusions. Combined with warm-edge spacers and argon-filled Low-E cavities, our casement and awning series reach U-factors of 0.28 or lower with far slimmer sightlines than vinyl.

Question 2

How do you handle openings that are out of square or non-standard?

Accepted Answer

Units are cut to surveyed dimensions rather than catalogue sizes. Provide width, height, sill condition and wall build-up and our engineers return shop drawings with frame depth, rough-opening tolerance and flashing detail. Arched heads and raked gables are produced bespoke.

Question 3

Which systems suit hurricane or high-wind zones?

Accepted Answer

The awning series is tested to Miami-Dade TAS 202 for air and water infiltration under wind-driven pressure. Sliding and pivot doors can be supplied with laminated impact glazing, reinforced mullions and marine-grade powder coating.

Question 4

What glass build-ups are available?

Accepted Answer

Standard is 5 mm Low-E outer lite, 9-12 mm argon cavity and 5 mm inner lite, both tempered. Options include laminated acoustic interlayers for 35 dB reduction, triple glazing, obscure or tinted lites and solar-control coatings selected by SHGC target.

Question 5

How are orders packed for export and long-distance freight?

Accepted Answer

Units are corner-protected, film-wrapped, foam-separated and loaded into purpose-built timber crates with container load plans. Each crate is labelled by elevation and opening number for staged installation.

Question 6

What maintenance does an aluminum system require?

Accepted Answer

Rinse frames and clear drainage slots twice a year, wipe gaskets with a silicone-safe cleaner and lubricate multi-point gearing annually. Standard European G-U and Kinlong hardware keeps spare parts available long term.
